“Nurture care support services are a fantastic support service providing a wide range of support for families. My experience of the service has been fantastic. From beginning to end there has been a high level of professionalism with a touch of heart. I was working as a local authority social worker for a safeguarding team and needed a service to provide parenting assessments. The family required additional support and assessments due to parents having mild/moderate learning difficulties. Given this was parents first baby understandably parents were reluctant to move to a family assessment unit.

With the support of the service, we were able to come up with an appropriate plan to provide in home care for the family. This consisted of supporting/befriending and educating parents in a way that met parents own needs alongside the needs of their new-born baby. This service is very inclusive and will holistically provide dedicated staff members who go above and beyond.

The service was able to assist with family home 24/7 care, which ultimately changed the care plan trajectory for this family.  I was regularly updated and received timely reports which enabled the support plan to be reduced quicker than anticipated. Allowing a great success for the family and them remaining together. With no social care intervention.

The best part of this service is the aftercare. Once the assessment period is over, families can remain in touch with the services for that additional support. Whether this be practical or emotional support.  Which is testimony to the type of support they provide.  I highly recommend nurture care support services”.
